Welcome to JC K9 Rescue
JC K9 Rescue is dedicated to the loving memories of Justin Acevedo and Cliff Beauchard who's lives were taken on December 12th, 2025. Justin and Cliff were both passionate about dog training and helping owners to better understand their dogs when conflicts arise. This includes supporting owners when a decision is made to rehome their pet or rescues who take in dogs / have dogs that are displaying behavioral issues that make adoption difficult. Our purpose is to provide these dogs with the training, structure, and support they need in order to have a chance at a normal life like any other dog.

Submit your adoption application online where our team will review your details and contact you to collect further information about your household and goals you have for life with a dog. We believe in pairing dogs with owners who will fit their needs best, even if that means it would take us longer to find the best homes for them.
3. Home Visit
Our team will conduct a home visit to ensure a safe environment for the dog and go through any logistical questions for owners such as where beds should go, where crates should be, how to tackle obstacles like public elevators, etc. It is helpful that owners write down any questions that they may have in how to smoothly assimilate the dog they're interested in adopting to their everyday life.

We require a meet and greet so that we can not only meet with prospective owners in person but also facilitate the introduction of our adoptable dogs with their new families. This means that not all meet and greets will look the same or take the same amount of time. Be prepared to have to attend several meetings before potential adoptive dogs are ready to engage with you and/or your family which includes other pets.
None of the trained dogs will go home without a handling lesson as a dog only behaves as well as their informed handlers and behaviors are more likely to resurface which had resulted to the dogs loss of a home to begin with. Be prepared to have to participate in more than one handling lesson.
4. Finalize Adoption
As we proceed through the previous steps and feel comfortable with the pairing, we will ask families to complete the adoption paperwork. On Go Home Day we will provide the family with the dog's veterinary records, and provide go home supplemental paperwork that have written instruction of commands, routines, and anything else that was discussed to ensure the dog's success in the home. Additionally the dog will go home with the tools they were trained on and owners will be expected to maintain their training in order to remain successful.
Our team will be available to provide guidance and support post-adoption to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the new family. This includes scheduling any additional handling lessons to help with any issues in the home.
